Website Build Agreement & Terms
Clear, fair terms for our website design and build services. Please read these before your project begins so we are aligned every step of the way.
Last updated: September 17, 2026 · Serving Southwest Florida
These Terms apply to website design and build services provided by AI Website Design SWFL ("we," "us," "our") to you (the "client"). By paying a deposit and/or submitting a Build Authorization, you agree to these Terms. This is standard commercial language for our services and is not legal advice.
1. Scope of Work
Your project is defined by the order or package you purchased and any written proposal we provide. Work outside that defined scope is quoted separately before we begin it.
To be transparent, our base builds do not automatically include:
- Full product setup and data entry
- Full cart and checkout configuration beyond standard setup
- Marketplace or third-party sales-channel connections
These are available as scoped add-ons and are quoted separately. If you are unsure whether something is included, just ask before we start.
2. Payment
- 50% deposit is due to begin your project.
- The remaining 50% is due upon your approval of the preview, before we transfer the site.
- A pay-in-full option is also available.
- Monthly payment plans via Affirm may be offered at checkout.
3. Process & Timeline
- You pay the 50% deposit to reserve your slot and begin work.
- You complete a short onboarding questionnaire and send us your content.
- We build your website.
- We send you a private preview URL to review.
- You approve the preview.
- We invoice the remaining 50% balance.
- We transfer the site to your Shopify/host account and assist you with repointing DNS.
Typical timelines
- Basic: 1–2 weeks
- Business: 2–3 weeks
- Store: 3–4 weeks
Timelines depend on receiving your content and feedback promptly. Delays in providing materials or approvals may extend the schedule.
4. Revisions
Your build includes up to two (2) rounds of revisions within the agreed scope. We want you to love the result. Additional changes, or changes that fall outside the agreed scope, are quoted separately.
5. Client Responsibilities
To keep your project on track, you agree to provide content, logins, and feedback promptly and accurately. Delays in providing these materials may extend your timeline.
6. Approval = Acceptance
Your written approval of the preview—including via the Build Authorization/approval step or by email—constitutes acceptance of the delivered work.
7. Ownership & Transfer
Ownership of the completed website transfers to you upon final payment. You own your own Shopify account and domain. After final payment, we transfer the completed site to your account and assist with repointing DNS.
8. Refunds & Deposits
- The 50% deposit is non-refundable once work has begun. It reserves your slot and covers our initial work.
- Once a site is delivered or transferred, or services have been rendered, fees are non-refundable.
- The remaining balance is due upon your approval of the preview, before transfer.
- If there is a problem, you agree to contact us first so we can work together to resolve it.
9. Authorization & Payment Agreement
By paying the deposit and/or submitting the Build Authorization, you authorize the charges, confirm the project scope, and agree to these Terms. You also agree that your approval of the preview constitutes acceptance of the delivered work.
Ready to start? Once you have reviewed these Terms, you can formally authorize your build.
