The honest version
How AI-assisted website design actually works
AI drafts the repetitive parts of a website — layout structure, first-draft copy, schema markup, meta tags, image alt text. A human then reviews, corrects and finishes every page before it goes live. That split is why a build takes one to two weeks instead of six, and costs $450 instead of $4,000.
What the AI does, and what a person does
| Task | Drafted by AI | Finished by a human |
|---|---|---|
| Page layout and section order | Yes | Reviewed against what converts for your industry |
| Page copy | First draft | Rewritten for your voice, checked for accuracy and legality |
| Schema markup (JSON-LD) | Yes | Validated, and corrected where the AI guessed |
| Meta titles and descriptions | Yes | Trimmed to length, checked against real search terms |
| Image alt text | Yes | Checked for accuracy against the actual image |
| What you sell and how you price it | No | Entirely human, with you |
| Claims about your business | No | Entirely human — AI invents things, so it is never trusted here |
That last row matters more than any of the others. The single real risk of AI-built sites is confidently invented detail — services you don't offer, credentials you don't hold. Every factual claim on a site we build is either something you told us or something we verified.
AI builder versus built for you
| AI website builder | Built for you here | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | $16–$49/mo forever | $450 once |
| Time you spend | A weekend, then ongoing | 15-minute questionnaire |
| SEO structure | Basic or absent | Headings, schema, internal links, sitemap |
| AI-search readiness | None | Answer-first pages, FAQ schema, fact density |
| Ownership | Tied to the builder's platform | Yours, on your Shopify account |
| Copy | Reads like every other prompt output | Written for your market, reviewed by a person |
If a builder gets you where you need to go, use one. This page exists so you can tell the difference before you spend money either way.

Said plainly so nobody pays for something we cannot deliver.
Where the method was proven
Every technique here was built for Lumina Skin Sanctuary, a Fort Myers esthetician studio owned by the same person who runs this business, before it was offered to anyone else. The sister brand Sanctuary Growth Co sells the same work to spas and salons nationally. Results vary by market, competition and starting point, and no one can guarantee a ranking.
Questions people ask before they hire us
Is an AI-built website worse than a hand-coded one?
It depends entirely on whether a human finishes it. Raw AI output is generic, occasionally wrong, and often missing the technical structure search engines need. Reviewed and corrected AI output is indistinguishable from hand-built work, because by the time it ships a person has rewritten whatever was wrong.
Are you just using an AI website builder like Wix or Framer AI?
No. Those generate a template from a prompt and hand it to you. We build on Shopify, write the page structure ourselves, and use AI the way a developer uses any tool — to draft the parts that are repetitive. You get a real site you own, not a subscription to a generator.
Should I just use an AI website builder myself?
If you need a one-page placeholder and have a weekend, honestly, yes — try one. Where people come back to us is the second week: the schema is missing, the copy reads like everyone else's, nothing ranks, and the builder locks the site inside its own platform. If you have already been through that, you know the gap.
Will Google penalize AI-written content?
Google penalizes unhelpful content, not the tool that produced it — that is their published position. Content written to answer a real question and reviewed by someone who knows the business is fine. Bulk unedited output is the thing that gets buried, which is exactly why we do not ship it.
What can you not build?
Custom web applications, from-scratch booking or payment systems, and large legacy platform migrations. We build Shopify stores, marketing and landing sites, and the SEO/GEO layer on top of them. We tell you before you pay, not after.
Who owns the site when it is done?
You do. It sits on your Shopify account under your domain and your billing. If you stop working with us, nothing switches off and nothing gets held hostage.
