An AI visibility report shows whether people, maps and AI assistants can find and name your business. Read it in order: first whether search engines can reach your site, then what your map and AI results say, then the short fix list. A score is a snapshot of those checks, not a Google ranking.
Key takeaways
- Our AI Visibility Report has four checked areas: a geo-grid map scan, a 15-query AI test, a Google Business Profile audit and a website scan.
- It ends with five prioritized fixes in plain English, ordered by impact.
- The example on our report page shows an overall score of 68 out of 100 for a made-up studio. Scores like that summarize checks; they are not a Google ranking.
- Fix the basics that affect every engine first: can the site be reached, is the profile complete, are your details consistent.
- No report, ours included, can promise a ranking or a recommendation from any AI assistant.
What does the AI Visibility Report actually check?
Here is exactly what our own report page and product page describe, so you know what you are reading. Nothing below is added to make it sound bigger.
| Section | What it checks | Example finding shown on our report page |
|---|---|---|
| Geo-grid map scan | Where you rank at points across your whole service area, not just at your own address | Top-3 map result at 9 of 49 grid points; strongest at the studio's own address, weak beyond about three miles |
| 15-query AI test | We ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI the questions your customers ask and record whether you are named; a transcript is included | Named in 2 of 15 questions; two competitors named in 9 of 15 |
| Google Business Profile audit | Categories, services, hours, photos, review velocity and data conflicts | Primary category too generic; no services listed; four reviews in twelve months |
| Website scan | What is missing or broken in the structure search engines read | No LocalBusiness schema; service pages under 150 words; address written two different ways |
The examples come from an illustrative report for a made-up Fort Myers nail studio. The page says plainly that the numbers are illustrative and not a real client's results, so use them to understand the layout, not as benchmarks. The report is run by hand, takes two to three business days and costs $178, or is free for the first five Southwest Florida businesses that request it through the free AI visibility report page. You can also order it as the AI Visibility Report.
How are the score and findings presented?
The report summary on our page is a table with three columns: the section, an example finding and what the finding means in plain terms. Its caption gives an overall visibility score, shown in the example as 68 out of 100, and the graphic at the top of the page shows the same score on a sample report card. After the table come five prioritized fixes, written as short actions such as changing the primary category, listing every service, asking for reviews, making your name, address and phone number match, and adding a page for each main service that opens with a direct answer.
Our page does not publish a formula for how the overall score is built, so treat any single number with care. The useful parts are the specific findings: how many grid points you appear at, how many of 15 questions name you, which profile fields are empty, and which pages are thin or missing markup. A change in those counts after you fix something is more meaningful than the headline score.
What does a score mean, and what does it not mean?
It means: on the day of the checks, this is how visible and complete your presence looked across those areas. It does not mean:
- Your Google ranking. Google does not use our score. Google says local results are mainly based on relevance, distance and prominence, and it says there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking.
- A prediction. AI answers vary by question, by day and by assistant. A 15-question test is a sample, not a forecast.
- A grade for your business. A low score on a new site may only mean you have not built the basics yet.
Keep this in mind when you compare reports from different providers. Different tools measure different things, so numbers are not comparable across them.
What should I fix first?
This order is our judgment, not a rule from Google. It starts with the things that affect every engine and ends with the things that build over time.
- Crawlability and indexing. If search engines cannot reach or index a page, nothing else on it matters. Google says a page must be indexed and eligible to appear in Search with a snippet to be shown as a supporting link in AI Overviews or AI Mode. Check that your key pages load, are not blocked, and appear in Google.
- Google Business Profile. Fix the primary category, services, hours, photos and any data conflicts the audit flags. This is usually the fastest win for map results.
- Consistent business details. Make your name, address and phone number match on your website and key listings.
- Reviews. Google says more reviews and positive ratings can help your local ranking. Ask every client, and reply to each review.
- Answer-first content. Give each service a page that opens with a direct answer, real prices or ranges and the area you serve. Our guide on ranking in Google AI Overviews explains the approach.
- Schema markup. Add LocalBusiness, Service and FAQ markup that matches what is visible on the page. Google says there is no special schema needed to appear in its AI features, so think of this as clarity, not a trick.
Work through one item at a time and rerun the checks. You will see which change moved which number.
Do I need to buy something after reading the report?
No. The report page says there is no obligation, and that the five fixes are written so you can do them yourself. If you want help, match the fix to the service. Profile work fits our search plans: the Foundation Plan at $360 a month covers Google Business Profile work, and the Growth Plan at $720 a month adds monthly content. For a one-time site upgrade, Local + AI (GEO) Optimization is $480. A person reviews every fact and claim before it goes live, and we make no promises about where you land in search results.
Frequently asked questions
What is an AI visibility report?
It is a check of how visible your business is in local and AI search. Ours includes a geo-grid map scan across your service area, a 15-query test of whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI name your business, a Google Business Profile audit, a website scan and five prioritized fixes. It is a snapshot of those checks on one day, not a measure of your Google rankings or a promise of future results.
Is an AI visibility score the same as my Google ranking?
No. A visibility score summarizes the checks a report runs, such as map results at points across an area, whether AI assistants name you and how complete your profile and site are. Google does not use that score. Google says local results rely mainly on relevance, distance and prominence, and that there is no way to pay for a better local ranking. Use the score as a to-do guide only.
What should I fix first from my report?
Start with anything that stops engines reaching your site, then your Google Business Profile, then consistent name, address and phone details, then reviews, then answer-first service pages and schema markup. That order is our judgment, based on fixing what affects every engine first. If your report flags a specific problem, such as a missing primary category or a blocked page, that usually comes before general improvements.
How often should I rerun an AI visibility report?
After you have made a meaningful batch of changes, and give them time to take effect. Search engines and AI assistants do not update instantly, and AI answers can vary from day to day, so a week-to-week comparison is noisy. A check every few months, or after a major update to your profile or website, is a sensible rhythm for most small businesses.
Why was my business not named in the AI test?
There are several common reasons. The assistant may not have enough clear information about your business, your website may lack direct answers and consistent details, your profile may be thin, or competitors may simply have more reviews and mentions. The test is a sample of 15 questions, and answers can change, so use a missing mention as a pointer to what to improve, not as a verdict.
Can an AI visibility report promise more customers?
No, and you should be cautious of any provider that says it can. A report shows where you stand and what to fix. Whether the fixes produce more calls and bookings depends on your market, your competition, your reviews and how consistently you act on the list. Ours is written so you can carry out the fixes yourself, and there is no obligation to buy anything afterward.
