All five are one-time setup fees. The lower price applies to AI Website Design clients, which means businesses we build, or have built, a website for. Chat app plans, hosting and AI usage are billed by those providers, not by us, and we explain the expected costs in your quote.
Which chat setup should I choose?
Choose the Smart Chat Box if visitors keep asking the same questions about prices, hours or booking and you want an assistant you own with no app subscription. Choose the Website Chat Widget if you want live chat or an app-based AI assistant. Choose Ask AI + Share if you mainly want visitors to ask ChatGPT, Google AI Mode or Perplexity about your business in one tap.
Choose the AI Chat + Ask AI Package for a real typed-question AI chat on your own site, and Super Chat + Super Ask AI Search if you also want a typed Ask box, more assistants and a summary of the questions visitors ask.
How a chat setup works
- You share the questions. Tell us what visitors ask most, and the prices, hours, services and policies you want given as answers.
- We build and brand it. The assistant is styled to your site and built around your approved answers, with a short rule list so an AI chat does not invent services, prices or promises.
- We test it with you. We try common questions on desktop and mobile before it goes live.
- You review over time. Check the answers it gives and send us corrections as your business changes.

How much does an AI chat for a website cost?
Setup prices are one-time and listed above: the Website Chat Widget is $259 for new clients and $181 for AI Website Design clients, the Smart Chat Box is $292 or $194, Ask AI + Share is $299 or $209, the AI Chat + Ask AI Package is $549 or $384, and Super Chat + Super Ask AI Search is $849 or $594. Outside app, hosting or AI usage fees are billed by those providers.
What is the difference between a chat widget, a Smart Chat Box and an AI chat?
The Smart Chat Box is a guided assistant with quick-reply buttons and written FAQ answers, built into your site with no app subscription. The Website Chat Widget configures a third-party chat app for live chat, AI answers or both. The AI chat in the package lets visitors type a question in their own words and answers from your pages, in a panel styled to your brand.
Can an AI chat give wrong answers?
Yes, any AI can be imperfect. We set the AI chat to answer from your own pages and approved facts, add a short rule list so it does not invent prices or promises, and test common questions with you before launch. You should still review the answers it gives over time. The Smart Chat Box only gives answers you wrote, so it cannot improvise.
Do I pay a monthly fee for chat?
Not to us for the setup, which is a one-time fee. Third-party chat apps may have a free tier or a paid monthly plan, and an AI chat uses outside hosting and AI model services that can bill by usage. Those are billed by the providers, and we explain the expected costs in your quote. Your Shopify plan and domain are billed separately, as for any site.
What does the Ask AI section do, and will it get me recommended by ChatGPT?
It adds a question picker and one-tap buttons that open ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Perplexity with a ready question about your business, plus a Share row. We cannot promise any recommendation, mention or lead. Answers come from independent services and can differ each time, and the section works best when your pages are clear and accurate.
Can I pay 50% down, and are these refundable?
Yes, every setup here has a 50% deposit option. Choose the 50% deposit option at checkout to pay half today. The remaining half is invoiced when the work is complete, and you can also pay in full. Packages and memberships are not refundable. David confirms scope and timing with you before work starts, and any extra scope, such as more sites, languages or live human handoff, is quoted before you pay for it.
